Jedi series radio housing is disassembled by removing channel and volume knobs.A thin flat piece of metal is inserted into rear of case at bottom. Chassis pops out of housing.Take care when removing/installing ribbion flex cable. The connector has a tab on top that is lifted slightly upward. Use a thin flat tool and apply gentle pressure evenly across the white/tan colored tab to remove flex cable. |
| Pin 10 (discriminator tap) is at connector J301 on the RF board. NOTE there are 4 rows of pins under the removable connector (2 rows on RF board and 2 rows on uP board).Pin 10 is the OUTBOARD pin at BOTTOM of RF board connector. See photos of where to tap discriminator signal. Frequencies can be changed with Motorola MTSX Radio Service Software, a programming cable, RIB, and 386/486 computer. Transmit frequencies were disabled during programming as the radio is used only for receiving data streams. |
