    SB signal at Brice. The vehicle bridge and signal were removed when a zinc processing facility was built adjacent to mainline.

    CSX 8409 leads a unit coal train south at Camp 2 in this 12/90 photo.
    -Altapass-
    CSX 3084 crawls out of the Blue Ridge tunnel on a cold 18 degree January day in 2014. Shards of ice flew as the lead locomotive eased through the portal.
    -Toe River-
    Toe River South End 11/90. NB signals at other end of tunnel can be seen in this view. Doll arm indicators were still illuminating their bluish hue in those days.
    -Kona-
    CSX1 leads a unit coal train at Kona.

    -Green Mountain-
    NB Signal at south end Green Mountain,NC siding had a mixture of old and new heads. This area suffered extensive damage from Helene 9/2024.
    -Poplar-
    Bridge at Poplar looking railroad north. This view from January 2014, 18 degrees. Expanded view shows a locomotive about to cross. Bridge was destroyed by hurricane Helene 9/2024.
    SB signal displaying approach during snowfall at NE Poplar,NC January 2014. Siding begins just around the curve. Tracks and roadbed in this area were destroyed by hurricane Helene 9/2024.
